Psycho Educational Testing
Psychological testing is used for a variety of reasons. Many times, it can be used as a roadmap for therapy, helping pinpoint specific areas of difficulties and creating goals for treatment. In addition, testing can be used for school purposes to help gain a better understanding of how a child learns, their strengths and weaknesses and any possible learning or processing difficulties or delays. Also, Gifted testing and ADHD testing can be requested exclusively and other testing is available to help rule out or rule in certain diagnoses. Lastly, IEE’s (Independent Education Evaluations) are also available. These are private evaluations, paid for by the school system, if you do not agree with the school’s psychological assessment, would like a second opinion or a more comprehensive evaluation.
