About Kerry Conca, LMHC

Kerry is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Florida.  She has spent most of her time as a therapist helping children and families in need.  Kerry has experience working with children and families, children in foster care, and adults who have experienced childhood trauma.  She is Certified Adoption Competent and has been able to help families move through the adoption process from a trauma-informed approach to family bonding and attachment.  She also has extensive training in psychodrama therapy methods.

Kerry has experience working with childhood trauma, ADHD, behavioral issues, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and mood issues.  She enjoys incorporating psycho-dramatic techniques into therapy to help clients use experiential action methods to influence change and repair negative experiences from their lives.  Kerry also integrates play, art, and mindfulness activities into therapy.  

Kerry believes that healing happens through trusting relationships and strives to develop a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment for individuals to heal and grow.
